DC Nation Shorts....

Saturday Morning was the return of the long and awaited cartoon block on Cartoon Network called "DC Nation". DC Nation has been off each kids regularly schedule saturday morning list since mid-October for some reason Cartoon Network decided to pull the series off the air. Today marks the first day it returned to the delight of many comic book fans of all ages. Yes Green Lantern and Young Justice have been excellent shows , but the other main reason children tune in is to see the different shorts that DC has to offer from "New Teen Titans" to "Mad Presents" to "Super Best Friends Forever". Today as I was watching both Green Lantern and Young Justice a new short appeared that made me very content. The short was called "Thunder and Lighting".

The reason why "Thunder and Lighting" made
me content was because DC is trying to branch out it's lesser super heroes so they could be more known. In the short "Thunder and Lighting", it featured a super hero that is not very known to most comic book readers, and that super hero is called, "Black Lighting". "Black Lighting as the name suggest is a superhero who is of the African American decent who only appeared in a couple of comic books before being an after thought. Black Lighting real name is Jefferson Pierce, who has the ability to manipulate and generate electricity who can also produced a force field. Even though both comic book companies have black super heroes like Black Panther, Storm and Bumble Bee, I do not think it is enough. As far as I know, the current blue beetle is the only hispanic super hero. Either way it's a start but more can be done. Here is the short of "Thunder and Lighting"
